In February of this year, we starting dreaming of doing another hike in the Alps. The logical choice seemed to be the Tour du Mont Blanc since we already had some experience with Alps hiking when we did the Walkers' Haute Route in 2014. As we began talking about it, is seemed like having a trip planned would be a good chance for us to keep a fitness goal "out there" to help motivate us to keep in shape. We also had some ideas about what we'd do differently to based on our experience in 2014.
Greg basically took the idea and ran with it — while I was visiting friends in March, he set up our entire trip in huts and tiny inns (Alpinas). Before we knew it, we were starting to train for the Tour du Mont Blanc.
